Old Time Dallas

Hello out there to my fan(s), and by that I mean hello Jess. It has been more than a month since my last post. I was able to go home for Thanksgiving and have a short respite from the all encompassing search for employment. It was a good trip and I got to take quite a few pictures.

I decided to try to capture some of the sights of Dallas that have been there for a long time, but might not be there much longer. There is so much building and change that many of these places will probably be deleted from the city.

For those who care, probably not Jess, these images are HDR images. I know that the first picture of the Dallas sign is actually pretty new, but I though it made a decent HDR image, so I included in anyway.

The Dallas Sign

The Blue Garden (turned out pretty cool)

Fox Theater

The Gail Hotel

Just One of the Facades in Downtown

The Polk County Courthouse

The Park Bridge

The Old Swimming Pool

Whitworth Elementary

You were right, about some of those structures not being there much longer. The old swimming pool is gone now. And Blue Garden doesn't have much longer..

Great HDR captures, good stuff. As a Dallas photographer, it makes me wonder why I haven't captured more of this little town. For some reason, I usually practice HDR when I'm away on my summer vacations.

I see you haven't posted in a while, that's too bad. You do some great work :)

Take care,
